Our Vision

A creative and well-maintained landscape adds beauty and value to your property. We’re here to help you create a naturally pleasant outdoor environment for you and your family to enjoy.

Our History

David and Mary Doughty founded the company in 1972, after David’s graduation from Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture. Mary received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from West Chester University in 1972. Dave was, (and still is), responsible for all designs, estimates, and installations, while Mary handled bookkeeping, and billing duties on a part-time basis while working full time in an office as the inside national sales manager for a truck body company. In 1982 Mary joined the company full time after the birth of our first daughter. Mary has continued her accounting duties, as well as schedule coordination, and overseeing advertising.

The company worked from an apartment, townhouse, and rented barn space until 1988 when we moved to our present location in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We have added a garden center/gift shop to our company under the title, Hilltown Nursery. Here we offer container and in-ground plants, as well as a line of associated fertilizers, insect, and disease control products. We also provide customers with perennial and annual flowers for seasonal color. Mary oversees the garden center on a daily basis, while Dave does the digging, loading, and installations of the plants.
